Two hundred and thirty one dry ration packs were donated to the families in Weherathenna village by ‘Success’ (Jayagrahanaya) Organization on the request of Brigadier K.G.D Perera, General Officer Commanding, 62 Division at 26 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) Headquarters premises in Weheratenna on Friday (18).
The value of the stock exceeds Rs. 2 lacks. Each pack included with 5 kg of rice, 250g of dhal, 500g of sugar, 50g of tea packet, 150g of dry fish, packets of biscuits and soya meet.
Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, Security Force Headquarters Wanni (SFHQ-W), Brigadier K.G.D Perera, Commanding Officer (CO) of 26 SLSR, Mr. Jeewaka Bandara, Mrs. Leela Darman Prema and Mrs. Sanjeewika, donors of ‘Success’ (Jayagrahanaya) Organization and a large gathering of villagers were associated with the said occasion.
