Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Force Headquarters Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) joined Muslims in Kilinochchi area to celebrate ‘Iftar’, breaking of Ramadan fast, organized at Kilinochchi Harmony Centre on Tuesday (15).
Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, together with troops at the SFHQ-KLN organized this event in parallel with the social Integration week which was declared by the government from 14th July 2014 to 20th July 2014.
All participants were provided with delicious food on the occasion. A Muslim religious leader briefly explained what ‘Iftar’ is all about.
Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Hon parliamentarian Mr Murugesu Chandrakumar, Kilinochchi Magistrate Mr M.I Wahabdeen, government employees, priests of all religions and approximately 400 people representing all communities in the area, attended this Islamic tradition.
