Troops of 18 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) under the 231 Brigade of 23 Division in the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) organized a Dengue prevention campaign and a ‘Sharamadhana’ campaign to clear the surroundings of Vellaveli together with members of the general public at Vellaveli village area on Tuesday (8).
In the meantime, 27 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops under the 222 Brigede of 22 Division in the SFHQ-E provided manpower assistance for the construction of Ilangathurei Amman Kovil with the support of the general public in the area on Wednesday (9).
Meanwhile, on the directions of Major General Lal Perera, Commander, Security Force Headquarters East (SFHQ-E), troops of SFHQ-E, marked the ‘Esala Poya’ day with a ‘Sil’ observing campaign, ‘Dharma’ discussions, alms giving and a ‘Bodhi Pooja’ programme at SFHQ-E premises on Saturday (12).
Major General Lal Perera, officers and other ranks who are serving the SFHQ-E attended these religious observances.
