Kilinochchi masses frequenting the Harmony Centre at Kilinochchi, thanks to the efforts of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), can now enjoy watching TV programmes, matches, reality shows, sports, educational programmes, etc free of charge, following establishment of a multi media screen at the expense of the Army serving the area.
On observing that people flocking this place on a daily basis for various requirements were without any recreational facilities, the SFHQ-KLN using a multi media set, enabled the masses to watch the programmes, free of charge every evening while remaining seated in the premises.
It was unveiled by General Officer Commanding 65 Division at a brief ceremony on Saturday (8) to coincide with the international women’s day.
During the first day as the maiden telecasting, those gathered at the venue watched the final match of the Asia Cup Cricket Tournament with enthusiasm.
Senior Officers and residents in the area attended the occasion.
