High Commissioner of Malaysia Mr Azmi Zainuddin in a special dispatch to the Ministry of External Affairs, commends the services of two Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) officers for their outstanding performances as Liaison Officers to the Malaysian delegation during CHOGM 2013. Those letters of appreciation, addressed to Major P.D.C Palliyaguruge and Lieutenant L.U Arambewatte who served as Personal Security Officers for the spouses of the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister of Malaysia during their staying in Sri Lanka, had been directed to the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake by the Ministry of External Affairs.
Those appreciative letters speak of the Malaysian High Commission’s sincere gratitude for cooperation and assistance, rendered by those lady officers separately during their stay in Sri Lanka (Nov 14 - 17).
The High Commission commending their outstanding work and services, including others in the liaison team, extends a special word of thanks for excellent coordination and facilitation, done by those officers on behalf of those state visitors.
