At the invitation of the 61 Division General Officer Commanding, Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) opened the newly-built officers’ accommodation complex at the 61 Division Headquarters premises in Vavuniya on Tuesday (28).
This long-felt need of the 61 Division Headquarters was made a reality by the troops of the 61 Division with the support of Engineer Service Regiment troops.
The simple ceremony, attended by General Officer Commanding, Senior Officers and Other Rankers, followed an address to the occasion, made by Wanni Commander who graced the event as the Chief Guest.
