Second Leadership Training Course for Custom Officers Begins

The second training course for a batch of 51 more custom officers on ‘Leadership’ commenced at the Army Training School in Ampakamam,  Kilinochchi on Monday (13) at the request of the respective Department of Customs.

Coordinated by the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), the one-week long leadership training module covers subjects such as strict discipline, leadership qualities, stress management, psychological operations, disaster management, self-defence, etc.

Lecturers from both the civil sector and the Army provide those trainees with academic inputs, together with several practical sessions. Professors of renowned universities and academic institutions provide support for conduct of these sessions at the request of the SFHQ-KLN.  

The inaugural ceremony was witnessed by Mr A Senanayake, Chairman, Sri Lanka Custom Authority, Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SFHQ-KLN, General Officer Commanding, 57 Division.
