Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe assumed office at the auspicious time as the new Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) on Friday (January 9) during a simple ceremony.
A Guard Turnout plus a Guard of Honour soon after his entry into the premises greeted him in accordance with military formalities before he participated in religious observances of all faiths in the company of senior officers and other ranks.
During the event, Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, joined a tree planting ceremony and addressed all ranks serving the SFHQ-KLN.
Meanwhile, All Officers and Other Ranks serving the SFHQ-KLN bade farewell to Major General Udaya Perera, outgoing Commander, SFHQ-KLN at a ceremony, organized upon relinquishment of his appointment as Commander SFHQ-KLN.
Major General Udaya Perera inspected a ceremonial Guard Turnout, presented in his honour in accordance with formalities at the premises.
