Troops of the 51 Division Headquarters in Jaffna joining hands together with the religious organization “Bridge of Hope” of the “Believers’ Church”, Colombo gifted a stock of school accessories and other essentials among 120 low-income group school students in Yogapuram, Jaffna during a brief ceremony at 51 Division Headquarters at Kopay on Wednesday (11).
Under the programme students received gift parcels containing uniform cloths, shoes, exercise books, pens, pencils, mathematical sets and a few other school items , each worth about Rs. 3500/= during the occasion.
Colonel B.P. Kaldera, Colonel Administration and Quartering of the HQ 51 Division was the Chief Guest during the event.
Rev. Fr. Lal Vandol of Colombo Diocese, Rev. Fr. Kalyana, Rev. Fr. Arumainayagam, Coordinating Officer of “Believers’ Church” Mr. Ronnie and villagers attended the ceremony.
