First Lady Impressed with 'Viru Kekulu' Talents of Seva Vanitha Pre-Schools

Kids from Manning Town ‘Viru Kekulu’ and Panagoda ‘Viru Kekulu’ pre-schools on Wednesday (20) during their year-end Variety Entertainment at Bishop College, Colombo-3, extended a warm welcome to First Lady, Mrs Shiranthi Rajapaksa who graced the event as the Chief Guest, in the company of Ms Sun Ju Park Choi, Ambassador for South Korea and Mrs Damayanthi Ratnayake, President, Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB).    

Kids of both pre-schools, managed by the SVAB displayed their multifaceted artistic talents before the distinguished gathering, inclusive of Seva Vanitha senior members, parents, teachers and other invitees. Speeches, songs, dancing and other features, presented on the occasion attracted the spectators who heaped lots of praise on those kids and their teachers.

Mrs Rajapaksa upon arrival was welcomed by Mrs Ratnayake and conducted to the venue with melodies, played by kids in the school’s oriental band.    

Pooja dance, folk dance, stage dramas and other funny stage features added colour and provided full entertainment to the attendees as the event reached its climax.

SVAB members, Mrs Nayana De Silva, Mrs Sandamali Abeysekara, Mrs Nilanjani Peiris, Mrs Roma Rajaguru, Mrs Shirani Ambanpola, Mrs Renuka Wijesiri, Mrs Prajeewa Alwis, Mrs Dananjani Karunasekara, parents and all pre-school teachers were associated with the event.
