In order to explore possibilities for further promotion of post-war reconciliation, goodwill and ethnic harmony among civilians, a group of academics at the invitation of Major General Udaya Perera, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), called at the SFHQ-KLN for a friendly discussion on Friday (15).
Dr. N N J Navaratne, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Management, University of Colombo, Prof. Gamini De Alwis, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Management, University of Colombo, Prof. H.D. Karunarathne, Dean, Management Faculty, University of Colombo, Ms. Thusitha Samarasekara, Director, Monitoring and Review, Human Rights Commission and Ms Anoja Weerasinghe during the forum discussed strategic and practical measures and approaches that should be adopted to win hearts and minds of Tamil civilians and implement all development projects for successful results with the assistance of the public.
The forum also sought ways and means to further eradicate sense of uncertainty, misconceptions and misinformation that would work as a setback to better coordination of civil-military relations.
