682 Brigade under the 68 Division of the Security Forces Headquarters – Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) continuing its community services handed over keys of a newly-constructed house to another homeless widow with three children in Puthukuduirippu, Maligathivu area on Sunday (10).
Major General L.B.R Mark, Commander SFHQ-MLT who graced the occasion as the chief guest handed over the keys to Mrs Githamala, the widow.
23 Sri Lanka National Guards (SLNG) troops of 682 Brigade sweated for this project and Ven Galigamuwe Gnanadeepa Thero and the members of ‘Dayaka Sabhawa’ provided financial assistance to this cause.
To coincide with conjunction of this event dry ration parcels, school uniforms and stationeries were also distributed among children and villagers.
Colonel W.A.S.A Wanasinghe, 682 Brigade Commander, senior officers, villages and children participated in this event.
