Players of Sri Lanka Army Kabbadi team and Sri Lanka Air Force Kabbadi team were declared co-winners in the recent P. Jayaweera Memorial National Kabbadi Tournament, played at Matara German Friendship Football ground during Sept 28-29. 15 male teams and 10 female teams of both services and private clubs took part in the tournament under the coordination of the Sri Lanka Amateur Kabbadi Association and Matara District Kabbadi Association. Sri Lanka Navy team got the third place in the men’s section.
Sri Lanka Air Force ‘A’ team in the female tournament carried away the Championship.
However, Sri Lanka Army’s Lance Corporal K.N Chamira Kumara was adjudged the Best Kabbadi Player in the tournament.
