To improve and develop sports skills of all ranks serving Mannar-based 54 Division under the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni (SFHQ-W), arrangements were made to hold an Inter Brigade / Battalion sports meet during Sept 23 – 24 at 54 Division Headquarters grounds.
The sports meet with 24 track and field events was organized under the guidance of General Officer Commanding, 54 Division, competed by more than 150 soldiers serving the 54 Division.
Members of the Mannar District Athletic Association and the Army Athletic Association supported the successful conduct of the event.
Ten relay teams from provincial schools as invitees participated in the events.
