The historic Wanni-based centre of Buddhist scholarship, Isinbessagala Pirivena in Vavuniya for both monks and laymen received a stock of new furniture, valued more than Rs 309,000/=, thanks to the sponsorship, offered by Ceylon Hospital PLC, following coordination, done by 211 Brigade Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters – Wanni (SFHQ-W).
The recent ceremony for donation of those items took place at the Pirivena grounds, attended by Ven. Dr. Kadawathgama Piyarathana Thero, Incumbent, Isinbessagala Raja Maha Viharaya (Temple), Mr Srimal Senaratne, Financial Manager of Ceylon Hospital PLC, Civil Coordinating Officer of 211 Brigade and a large gathering of monks.
