Under the direction of the Security Force Headquarters-East (SFHQ-E), troops of 8 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) coordinated a donation of school accessories to Vinayagar Pre-School in Koraweli on Saturday (20).
Dr Malkanthi Hettiarachchi and Ms Chithra Malkanthi sponsored the donation which benefited about 30 school children.
Commanding officers of the Battalion, students, parents and villagers attended the occasion.
Meanwhile, troops of 24 SLNG under 233 Brigade organized an Esala Dansal program at the Somawathiya temple. More than 10000 Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim devotees enjoyed the treat.
