Inmates at the newly inaugurated ‘Abimansala 2’ at Kamburupitiya were taken on a picnic to Kandy area for two days (June 18-19), following arrangements, made by Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) on the instructions of Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya, President SVAB.
Organized by ‘Abimansala 2’ Commandant, those inmates, aided by staff members working there visited Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Sri Dalada Maligawa, Peradeniya Botanical Garden and a few other places of interest.
Those inmates had a full day of fun and relaxation during the tour.
