A special Poson Bakthigee (devotional songs) presentation organized by the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) in connection with the arrival of Arahath Mahinda rent the air at SFHQ-W auditorium on Tuesday (25).
Members of the Sri Lanka Women’s Corps and students of Medawachchiya Mahadiulwewa Maha Vidyalaya contributed to the success of the programme, witnessed by Major General Boniface Perera, Security Force Commander - Wanni as the Chief Guest.
Meanwhile, Poson Zone - 2013 organized by Haputale Divisional Secretariat was contributed to by troops serving the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C).
All the Brigades, Sri Lanka Military Academy, Training Schools, Units and Sub Units in Diyatalawa area produced a wide assortment of creative Vesak lanterns and decorations that were showcased at Diyatalawa Pradeshiya Sabha grounds.
Spectators maintained that the lanterns, crafted by the Army were of the highest standards and deserved commendation.
