Inmates at the Anuradhapura ‘Abhimansala’ on Saturday (6) had a novel experience when they got together at their esplanade to enjoy New Year spirits in a festive occasion, organized by the Center Commandant.
The day’s event, comprised of traditional games and various fun-making features brought happiness and joy to those affected lives, some of who are dependent and wheelchair-ridden.
It was made possible through patronage extended by IPABHA, an organization, engaged in beauty culture and hair dressing, together with ‘TV Derana’ and Event Media Ltd.
Major General Boniface Perera, Security Force Commander, Wanni attended the event as the Chief Guest at the invitation of the Abhimansala management. A group of villagers also contributed to the success of the day’s event.
