Troops, numbering over 200, attached to the Security Forces Headquarters - South (SFHQ-S) inspected more than 500 houses in Homagama area for threat of Dengue epidemic, together with a contingent of Public Health Inspectors, Grama Niladari Officials, Police personnel and a few other local council authorities on Saturday (8).
SFHQ-S troops during the past few weeks conducted the same project in Kesbewa, Kamburupitiya, Sooriyawewa and several other areas. Troops serving 142 Brigade Headquarters in the 14 Division, 121 Brigade Headquarters in the 12 Division and 12 Engineer Service Regiment (ESR) in the 122 Brigade Headquarters under 12 Division took part in respective areas in the company of health and state officials.
Contribution of the troops for control of Dengue came in for praise of the public in those areas.
