Sri Lanka Army troops in the 224 Brigade Headquarters on directions given by 22 Division and Commander, Security Forces Headquarters, East (SFHQ-E) on August 19, conducted a full day seminar for students, sitting the Year 5 scholarship examination at Trincomalee Kiliveddi Maha Vidyalaya.
84 students living in Kiliveddi, Thelchena, Kattaparichchan and Santhoshapuram centers for displaced people attended the seminar, sponsored by Kanthale Pathirana Foundation and those students were awarded with gift parcels containing school books and other educational accessories.
All the students as well as teachers and invitees were entertained to refreshments and meals following support received from the sponsors.
The opening of the seminar was attended by senior officers of the 22 Division and 224 Brigade Headquarters.
