Alert to the SOS call of the hour, hundreds of Army troops together with Air Force helicopters took prompt action and rushed to Ohiya areas on Thursday (2) in an attempt to bring the raging bush fire under control.
Ground troops immediately evacuated families living in vulnerable areas and alerted the civilians to the spread of bush fire that has begun in one corner of the Ohiya terrains.
However, within a short span, both Army and Air Force fire fighters succeeded in dousing the spreading fire in the area.
