More than 25 medical specialists, 40 medical officers, together with 170 members of the medical staff recently conducted a full-day medical clinic at Thirukkovil Thampiluvil Vidyalaya, following a request made by the Security Forces Headquarters East.
With the coordination done by 632 Brigade Headquarters, the ‘Tharunyayata Hetak’ project sponsored the conduct of this mega clinic where more than 1600 civilians were examined and treated for common ailments, dental problems, eye ailments, ENT requirements, etc. 632 Brigade Headquarters coordinated the programme.
Free supply of medicine and drugs plus more than 450 spectacles were also distributed among the attendees on the same occasion after medical consultations.
Dr Chula Senarathne, Director, ‘Tharunyata Hetak’, District Medial Officers for Ampara and Kalmunai, Thirukkovil Divisional Secretary, Commander, Task Force III, Akkaraipattuwa and several other senior state officials and Army officers were present at the occasion.
