A few workshops on beach volleyball for the disable and sitting volleyball were conducted recently for the benefit of disable War Heroes who are interested in the game.
Those workshops and coaching camps took place at Ambepussa Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) gymnasium, Wadduwa Holiday Resort and National Youth Centre, Maharagama.
National Volleyball Federation for the Disable and sitting volleyball introduced beach volleyball for the disable for the first time in Sri Lanka in early September.
Two overseas veterans in the international arena of sport volleyball, Mr Hadi Pezaei, Vice President Asia Oceania Committee Volleyball for the Disable (AOCVD) and the Coach of the Iranian Team as well as Mr Billy Lee, Technical Director, Asia Oceania Committee Volleyball for the Disable, specially flown into the country gave the lead to those training and coaching sessions.
