The ‘Guna Jaya Sathuta Padanama’ (Foundation of Goodness) headed by Mr Kusil Gunewardena, Trustee, in the company of several of its leading members recently took a large stock of gifts to the students and resettled people in Mankulam and Kilinochchi areas.
This Foundation which has been providing humanitarian assistance to the North for a long time distributed 210 push bicycles on Saturday (17) among resettled families in Mankulam and adjoining areas during a brief ceremony at Mankulam Maha Vidyalaya, Mankulam.
On the same occasion, those donors gifted the children at Mankulam Vidyalaya with a stock of oriental musical instruments for promotion of their aesthetic values.
Meanwhile, children at Kilinochchi Tamil Vidyalaya received an initial training in traditional musical instruments during a workshop, organized by same donors on Sunday (18) after they gifted several musical instruments to this school too.
