Seva Vanitha Meets 'Ranaviru Sevana' War Heroes &;amp; Inquires about their Well-Being

The Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB), actively engaged in multiple welfare projects for the benefit of disable War Heroes, family members of fallen War Heroes and serving Army personnel met all 348 inmates under rehabilitation at Ragama Ranaviru Sevana for a cordial interaction on Thursday (15).

Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya, President, SVAB, accompanied by several senior SVAB members and a selected group of senior Army officers serving Directorates of Welfare, Additional Welfare, Medical Services and Pay and Records sat together at Ranaviru Sevana and exchanged views with those inmates in order to learn of their well-being, requirements, or any pestering problems, if any.

The SVAB representatives gave a patient hearing to concerns, expressed by some of those War Heroes, in relation to their house construction needs, award of scholarships to their children for higher education, replacement of their artificial limbs and other issues of relevance to them.

Mrs Jayasuriya showing a keen interest in resolving those issues referred those projected concerns to the notice of senior Army personnel present while giving an undertaking to those concerned rehabilitees for quick solutions.

At the request of the SVAB, an Indian eye surgeon, Dr Rajesh on the same occasion examined the vision of those resident War Heroes and prescribed necessary medication to those who need such consultations.

Seva Vanitha Unit chairpersons of regiments of those War Heroes who were also associated with the occasion contributed actively to interaction sessions, in which issues of those resident rehabilitees at regimental level that remained hitherto unresolved were submitted to the notice of Mrs Jayasuriya.
