Ipalogama 'Ranajayapura' Pre School Kids Display Artistic Talents

Kids learning at Ministry of Defence (MoD) managed Ipalogama ‘Ranajayapura’ pre-school and Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) run Minneriya and Anuradhapura ‘Viru Kekulu’ pre-schools exhibited their exceptional artistic talents and handicrafts during their separate annual Exhibitions on Friday (5) at Ipalogama Housing Complex  Minneriya and Anuradhapura.

Of the three exhibitions, the one at Ipalogama, managed by Mrs Ioma Rajapaksa, Chairperson, MoD Seva Vanitha Branch displayed high standards, judged by what those kids had crafted for the Exhibition and impressed the visitors to the venue.

Replicas of religious, cultural, environmental, scientific and other interests, created by those kids drew the attentions of all those visited the Exhibition at Ipalogama and came in for praise of the Chief Guest, Mrs Rani Jayatillake, Secretary to SVAB who declared open the Exhibition after she was conducted to the venue amidst a warm welcome by kids and teachers.

Mrs Jayatillake having a close look at those exhibits at Ipalogama expressed her appreciation and complements to the staff and the kids for their dedication in view of the international standards of their products put up for the exhibition.

The same evening, Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya, President SVAB visited the Minneriya ‘Viru Kekulu’ exhibition of handicrafts and paintings, done by the kids. She declared open the exhibition afterwards and enjoyed viewing their talents, produced for the exhibition.

Before the inauguration of the exhibition, Mrs Jayasuriya unveiled the Buddha statue and the shrine erected in the pre-school premises. A stock of western musical instruments donated by the Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) Seva Vanitha unit was also handed over to the Chief Guest, Mrs Jayasuriya by Mrs M. Salley, Chairperson, SLAOC Seva Vanitha unit.

Meanwhile, Mrs Anusha Samarasinghe, a senior member of the SVAB visited the Viru Kekulu Pre-school at Anuradhapura and declared open the annual Exhibition organized by the kids.

Teachers at pre-schools, SVAB members and a large gathering of parents witnessed the events at Ipalogama, Minneriya and Anuradhapura.
