In a special message to mark the second anniversary of war victory, Prime Minister D M Jayaratne yesterday hailed the celebrations organised by the Ranaviru Seva Authority.The Premier added that it is an honour to the War Heroes of the three forces and Police and praised the Ranaviru Seva Authority for organizing this ceremony as an appreciation of the services rendered by fallen War Heroes.
”Because they scarified their lives for the motherland, there is peace and harmony in this island. Sri Lankans celebrate this day on a grand scale due to our heroic forces who fought with dignity and honour for the motherland,” he said. ”President Mahinda Rajapaksa strengthened the Ranaviru Seva Authority in numerous ways for the benefit of the three Forces. Under President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s a directive, the welfare of three forces had showed a significant change and priority was given for all security members,” the Premier said in his message.
