Fifteen bicycles and sixty school bags, donated by the Singapore-based Buddhist Library were recently distributed among school students in Agbopura, Etambagaskada, Vimankallu and Kelebogaswewa that fall under the 56 Division.
The advisor to Singapore Buddhist Library and Chief Incumbent, Bellanwila Raja Maha Vihara, Ven Dr Bellanwila Dhammaratana Thero has donated those items for the benefit of school students in those areas. Earlier, similar stocks were given away by the same Buddhist monk in Wanni, Mannar and elsewhere.
Those fifteen bicycles and sixty school bags were distributed by Brigadier N.A.P.C Napagoda, General Officer Commanding, 56 Division, Kokeliya, Vavuniya during a brief ceremony.
