THE Consortium of Patriotic Organization (CPO) has called upon all people of Sri Lanka to celebrate Victory Day on May 18, as it was on that day last year that the gallant security forces crushed the Tiger terrorist movement.
In a communique issued yesterday, the CPO states that with the end of the 30-year war against Tiger terrorism, the indiscriminate killing of innocent people had come to an end, and they could now go about without any fear. It urges the all in the country to hoist the National Flag at every home, Temple, Church, Kovil, Mosque, business establishments, etc. to commemorate “Victory Day” (Courtesy : The Island)
