A SPECIAL round of discussion on the foundation-laying ceremony of the proposed Abimansala, the lifelong care centre for dependent War Heroes at Anuradhapura took place at Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) auditorium Monday (3) morning.
The discussion, presided by Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya, President, SVAB was attended by Major General W.R. Wasantha Kumara, Director General, Engineering Services, Major General G.D.H.K. Gunaratne, Commander, Security Forces, Wanni, Brigadier E.G. Jayakody, Director, Additional Welfare, Senior Army Officers and a representative team of SVAB senior members.
Discussions also covered preparation of ceremonial proceedings in connection with the forthcoming cornerstone-laying and other related arrangements.
