THE 2nd batch that fallowed the Advance Infantry Platoon Training (AIPT) Course in the 57 Division Headquarters Training School recently passed out after one and a half month of training.
The 350 trainees consisted of 10 officers and 340 soldiers from battalions stationed in the area under command to Security Forces Headquarters, Kilinochchi (SFHQ-K). One officer and thirty-four soldiers from each battalion were selected to follow the course.
The passing-out parade was held at the sports grounds of the training school on 17th March morning, headed by Major General L.W.C.B Rajaguru, Commander SFHQ-K who distributed certificates among the trainees at the end of the event. A large number of officers and other ranks including General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers of Battalions in the area were present on the occasion.
