COMMANDER Security Forces Wanni and Competent Authority for IDPs in Northern Province Major General Kamal Gunaratna met several representatives of UN affiliated NGOs at Wanni Security Forces Headquarters.
UN representatives included Messrs Neil Buhne, Desiree Jongsma, Mohomed Abdiker, Tine Starmos, Doulas Keh, David Igulu, Barbara Manzi and Sakura Asumi. The main focus during their discussion was on daily needs of the people in Vavuniya area and the ways to improve the living standards of the ordinary people. The Chief of Brigadier Staff of SFHQ-W Brigadier M.A.M. Dias was also present.
