A LECTURE that highlights importance of promoting racial co-existence, harmony and goodwill was conducted recently for the benefit of youth in Kaludaweli area under 234 Brigade.
The lecture, organized by Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops serving the area was attended by more than 75 youth and conducted at Kaludaweli Maha Vidyalaya by senior lecturers on Social Science and History, Messrs P. Vigneshwaran and S. Sivaganeshan respectively. Both those lecturers were from Eatern University.

Meanwhile, 24 Sri Lanka National Guard troops under 231 Brigade cleaned up Kalingalawila Sri Susila Temple premises with the support of the villagers.

In the meantime, troops actively supported the preparation and distribution of alms cooked in honour of deities at the Sinhapura Devalaya in the same 231 Brigade area.

In another move, 234 troops during a Shramadana campaign in the area conducted a thorough cleaning inside the monastery of Rev Sivasadhu Swami. Several groups of civilians joined Army troops.
