MAJOR General Kamal Gunaratne, Commander Security Forces Wanni (SFHQ-W) with a view to taking stock of security situation and progress as regards living conditions of resettled civilians under 212 Brigade visited Mannar on Wednesday (10).
Major General Gunaratne who is also the Competent Authority for Northern Resettlement inspected a few Relief Centers for Displaced Persons in the area and discussed matters related to their well-being, future work and security. Major General Gunaratne received a feedback from those newly settled civilians and respective local commanders during the tour.
Brigadier P.J. Nanayakkara, Area Commander, Mannar, Brigadier M.A.M Dias (SFHQ-Wanni Administration), 212 Brigade Commander M.A.S.K. Mohandiram and several Unit Commanders in the 212 Brigade area were associated with the tour.
