A NATIONAL DAY ceremony in parallel with the main National Day celebrations took place at Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni (SFHQ-W) on 4th February morning, from where the administration was directed in relation to the final Wanni battles.
Brigadier M.A.M Dias, Chief of Brigadier Staff at SFHQ-W graced the occasion as Chief Guest who read out the National Day message sent by Commander, SFHQ-W to the occasion.
After hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, all sang the National Anthem and paid respect to the country. Planting of tree saplings in the SFHQ-W premises also occurred during the ceremony. Brigadier H.D.W Kariyawasam, SFHQ-W (administration) and several Officers and Other Ranks graced the occasion.
