WANNI Security Forces Headquarters, the military establishment that co-coordinated most of the recent military operations as the epicenter for the whole of Wanni received a new hospital ward complex, an operation theater, an indoor gymnasium and a new residential building complex for senior officers, all of them long-felt requirements in the complex.
Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya, Commander of the Army on the invitation of Major General Kamal Gunerathna, Commander, Security Forces Headquarters (SFHQ-W), Wanni declared opened all the new constructions during a series of ceremonies on Monday (21).
Foundation stones for those constructions were laid when the incumbent Commander of the Army was serving as Commander for Wanni Security Forces before July, this year.
