TWO groups of philanthropists headed by Dr. Mrs Suryakanthi Amarasekara, Director, Sri Jayawardenepura hospital and Mr Rohan Rodrigo arrived in Mankerni under 233 Brigade area on 12th December and donated a stock of educational equipment and accessories to school children in Mankerni area. The donation included books, pens, pencils, sports goods and school bags for eighty students and forty small children in the area.
Children, teachers and parents thanked the donors for their generosity and mingled with one another on the occasion.
