One More Group Set to Leave for UN Missions

THE passing-out parade of another group of two hundred Sri Lankan troops including seven officers and one hundred and one other ranks of the Army from the Army, one officer and forty-five sailors of Sri Lanka Navy and one officer and forty-five airmen from Air Force, scheduled to take part in the UN Peace Keeping Mission in Haiti shortly was held Wednesday (21) morning at Armed Corps Regimental Centre parade ground.

The chief guest for the occasion was Brigadier RMJA Rathnayaka. All centre Commandants of the regiments contributing troops to the mission and officers from Navy and Air Force in addition to a large number of officers and soldiers were also present. 

They are scheduled to leave for Haiti on 08th November 2009.
