NORTH & EAST: ARMY troops engaged in search and clear operations in PUTHUKKUDEDIYIRUPPU and SUGANDIPURAM areas on Monday (10) recovered six T-56 weapons, two T-56 magazines, filled with ammunition, one 12.7 weapon, three micro pistols with two magazines, one hundred and twenty-seven rounds of micro pistol ammunition, fifty-nine T-56 ammunition boxes, eighteen rounds of armour tank ammunition, fifty anti personnel mines, three .22 magazines, one barrel of a pedal gun, seventeen field books in Tamil, one hand grenade, seven 81 mm mortar bombs, two 120 mm mortar bombs, thirty Oxygen cylinders and three radio communication sets.
Meanwhile, Police on information received conducted search operations in MUTHUR and ERAVUR areas to recover one 81 mm mortar bomb and two hand grenades on the same day (10).
