GENERAL Sarath Fonseka RWP, RSP, VSV, USP, rcds, psc, the incumbent Commander of the Army has been appointed as Chief of Defence Staff by His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksa in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. He is to take over his duties shortly.
