EAST : POLICE personnel, attached to the VALAICHCHENAI Police Station on Friday (26) recovered one claymore mine of 10 kg, one T-56 weapon, three T-56 magazines, fifty rounds of T-56 ammunition, three Motorola communication sets, four hand grenades and 1 kg of C-4 explosive.
Meanwhile, Special Task Force (STF) troops serving in AMPARA recovered one Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) launcher, three RPG bombs and four RPG chargers during a search and clear operation conducted in KOLIYANARU area.
