STUDENTS' Union members of University of Colombo School of Computing donated one Ultra Sound Therapy equipment and thirty crutches for the use of War Heroes who sustained injuries during the recently concluded humanitarian operations against LTTE terrorists. This donation was made to coincide with the second death anniversary of late Professor V.K. Samranayake, an eminent scholar in computer science in Sri Lanka.
The donation was made at the military hospital Narahenpita this morning (18). The simple ceremony was headed by Mrs. V.K. Samaranayake. Lieutenant Colonel K.P. Sumanapala, the Commanding Officer at the Military Hospital. A large number of university students were also present.
