THE annual Vesak Bhakthi Gee (Devotional Songs) programme at the Army Head Quarters got underway Tuesday (26) evening under the auspices Commander of the Army, General Sarath Fonseka. The chief guest for the occasion was First Leady Mrs. Shiranthi Rajapaksa. Mrs. Ioma Rajapaksa and Mrs. Anoma Fonseka were also present.
The colourful event, organized on the instructions of Mrs Anoma Fonseka, President Seva Vanitha Army Branch at the Army Buddhist association was attended by a large number of senior officers, other ranks and member of the civil staff.
