MULLAITTIVU: LATEST information received from KARAYANMULLIVAIKKAL area confirmed that a senior LTTE terrorist was killed during confrontations that occurred when the troops captured terrorists earth-bund built in the same area on Thursday (07).
The dead senior terrorist, identified as CHELIYAN was the second in command of the LTTE Sea Tiger wing, reports further confirmed.
According to details available, CHELIYAN who is in his early 30s was from TRINCOMALEE. He has led many attacks against the Sri Lanka Navy in the past and received injuries in a confrontation with the Navy on 27th March 2008.
He also had held a few key appointments in the organization.
