MULLAITTIVU: EXTENDED search and clear operations by the Army troops in the general area of PUTHUKUDIYIRUPPU on Saturday (2) recovered ten T-56 weapons, one Multi Purpose Machine Gun (MPMG), one Rocket Propeller Gun (RPG), seventeen RPG bombs, ten RPG bomb pouches, thirty-six T-56 magazines, ninety-nine pouches, eleven MPMG links, ten Argus-type bombs, twenty-eight hand grenades, twelve field dressings, six Bangalore torpedoes, one hundred and fifty M-16 ammunition, twenty-three 9 mm ammunition and one I-com set.
Troops on another search found an abandoned LTTE cab vehicle from UDYARKATTU area, the same day.
One light aircraft bomb was also found by the troops from KOKAVIL area on Friday (2).
