SL Defence Service Volleyball Team in 35th World Military Men's Volleyball Championship Beat China

International Military Sports Council organized 35th World Military Men’s Volleyball Championship is now being played at Tehran-Islamic Republic of Iran.

Sri Lanka Defence Services Volleyball team on Sunday (11) beat the Chinese team 3-1 (25-16; 25-16; 23-25; 25-19) at the 1st round match played at Azadi Volleyball Arena in Teheran.

The opening ceremony of the 35th World Military Men’s Volleyball Championship took place last Saturday (10).

During 9 days (11 to 19 September), 10 countries will compete for the Gold Medal. They are China, Lebanon, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Pakistan, Palestine, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Venezuela, Zambia and the host, Islamic Republic of Iran.
