One More Mammoth Donation for Civilians in Wanni

A donation programme was organized for the people living in rural areas of Wanni by Army personnel under the supervision and coordination of the Commander, Security Forces – Wanni (SF-W) following kind patronage of Venerable Dr Bodagama Chandima Thero, Chief Incumbent of Kelaniya Manelwaththa Temple and the Maha Nayaka Thero of Taiwan during August 22 - 23.

700 civilians received dry rations packs under the donation programme, organized at Sulugulu Viharaya, Anuradhapura on Monday (22). 1000 rural villagers received dry ration packs and school children received school accessories at a separate ceremony in Veherathenna on Tuesday (23). All these gifts were worth more than Rs 2 Million.

Senior officers, officers and other ranks, together with a large number of Buddhist monks, villagers and civilians attended the events.
