23 Division troops organized a workshop under the theme of ‘Life, Music, and Songs’ at the 23 Division headquarters premises during 18-19 June.
Music has been used for hundreds of years to treat illnesses and restore harmony in mind and the body. It provides tremendous relaxing effect on human mind and body, especially the classical music.
The workshop was conducted by Professor Mahanama Wickramasinghe, Faculty of Visual and Performing Arts, University of Colombo, together with Mr Malith Anuradha and Mr Vajira Ananda.
More than 1000 officers and other ranks serving in the 23 Division, Brigades and Battalions and hundreds of civilians and school children in Welikanda area attended workshop.
