12 Infantry Division bids farewell to Major General W.S.N Hemarathna RWP RSP psc, the outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC), on 04 June 2025, at the 12 Infantry Division Headquarters.
Upon the arrival he was accorded with a Guard Turnout followed by a Guard of Hounour by the troops of 18 Battalion of the Gemunu Watch. Later on he posed for a group photograph and planted a sapling.
Subsequently, the outgoing GOC declared open newly constructed dining hall and the bar of Warrant Officers and Sergeants’ Mess of 12 Infantry Division Headquarters. Later, he addressed the troops and attend All Ranks tea.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
